Hydroxyethyl Cellulose(HEC)
Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) is a non-ionic cellulose ether, and the raw material comes from natural wood pulp or cotton pulpHEC has a series of different viscosity ranges to change the rheology of water-soluble coatings. HEc is treated with delayeddissolution, which can effectively prevent caking when the product is added to the aqueous solution, Hydroxyethyl cellulose etheiwith proper surface treatment can well adiust the dissolution rate and viscosity rise rate of the product, HEc can provide goocpseudo plasticity in water-based coatings and has wide compatibility with pigments, emulsions, surfactants, emulsifiers, anddefoamers, lt is suitable for water-based paint such as latex paint and real stone paint.
Features
Usage:
The amount added in the interior wall emulsion paint is generally between 0.1-0.5%, used as the main thickener;
The additive amount in exterior wall emulsion paint is generally between 0.2-0.4%, used as the main thickener;
The additive amount in the real stone paint is generally between 0.1% and 0.2%, used as the main thickener:
Generally, hydroxyethyl cellulose should be added into the water slowly under constant stiring, and it is appropriate to add AMP95and other alkali products after stirring for 5~10 minutes, which is conducive to the full dissolution of cellulose ether;
