Antifreeze principle: Ethylene glycol is an organic compound, chemical formula C2H6O2, it is a colorless, odorless, sweet liquid. The antifreeze effect of ethylene glycol is based on its physical and chemical properties.
 

Chemical Nature
 

Ethylene glycol is a colorless liquid, which can not only reduce the freezing point of water, but also interfere with the ice lattice structure in concrete, so that the strength of concrete is not damaged. Mixed with pumped antifreeze, the concrete can be prevented from freezing damage within the ambient temperature of -10ºC. At present, it is used in combination with sod ium nitrite to improve the early strength
