Product description
SidleyCafo® Calcium formate is a white or light yellow crystalline powder that flows freely and is easy to add. Mainly used in building materials or feed.
When applied to building materials, calcium formate is easily soluble in water. When applied to cement-based building materials, adding calcium formate can increase the concentration of Ca+ in the liquid phase, accelerate the dissolution rate of calcium silicate in cement, and the same ionic effect will accelerate the crystallization, increase the proportion of solid phase in mortar/concrete, which is conducive to the formation of cement stone structure, thus speeding up the hydration of cement. Improve the early strength of mortar/concrete.
When used in feed, calcium formate is free of formic acid through biochemical action in animals, effectively reducing the PH value in the gastrointestinal tract, playing the role of maintaining the appropriate acid in the intestine, promoting the appetite of piglets and reducing the diarrhea rate, so as to achieve weight gain.

Main advantages and characteristics (1) Calcium formate has high solubility in water and is easy to disperse, which can improve the early strength and reduce water; (2) The early strength effect of calcium formate is obvious, and the setting time is appropriate, and the appropriate addition amount does not affect the construction and later strength development; (3) The use of calcium formate will not produce chloride ions, will not rust the steel bar, the use of safety; (4) Calcium formate as an early strength agent has a suitable cost performance. In masonry mortar or plastering mortar: the summer dosage is generally about 0.3-0.5%, and the winter dosage is generally about 0.5-1.0%; In the tile glue, C1 level is generally 0.3-0.8%, C2 level is generally 0.5-1.5%. The bond strength of mortar increases with the increase of calcium formate content of O%-1.5%. However, when the dosage is too high, there will be too fast coagulation or even rapid solidification, which will cause mortar/concrete cracking in the later stage and reduce its strength, and the specific dosage needs to be tested and verified according to the formula.
