Chemical Nature
Sodium gluconate, also known as sodium pentahydroxycaproate, is a white or light yellow crystalline powder, easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in ether. Sodium gluconate as a retarding agent can be widely used in concrete. Adding a certain amount of sodium gluconate to concrete can increase the retarding effect of concrete and delay the initial and final setting time of concrete.

Storage
