 HYDROXYETHYL CELLULOSE  HEC

HEC is a nonionic cellulose derivative that dissolves readily in water, either cold or hot. It is made from natural macromolecular material cellulose through a series of chemical processing. It is used to produce solutions having a wide range of viscosity. Such solutions are pseudoplastic, that is, they vary in viscosity depending upon the amount of stress applied.


 

I. Paints & Coating Grade HEC
 

HEC provides excellent thickening efficiency, color development, open time, and superior resistance to biodegradation. It also plays a role in the emulsion, dispersion, stability and water retention. The coating has good rheological properties at different shear rates, and has good workability and leveling performance, good splash and sag resistance.

 

II. Oil-drilling Grade HEC

 

O series of HEC is mainly used as viscosifier and fluid loss agent in oil drilling industry. High-viscosity HEC is mainly used as viscosifier in well-completing or finishing fluid; while low-viscosity HEC is mainly used as fluid loss agent.

1	This product is packed in 25kg bags out HDPE bags inner with LDPE bags.
2	Store products with original packaging in a dry, clean environment and away from heat sources. This product is not easy to lose efficacy, but it is hydrophilic-based. If the storage environment is poor, it will slowly absorb moisture. It is recommended to follow the first-in-first-out principle when using it. The packaging must be tightly sealed to prevent moisture intrusion if not finished use.
