Tartaric Acid
 

In the production process of self-leveling mortar, by adding the right amount of tartaric acid, you can control the setting time of the mortar, improve the strength of the mortar and so on.

Tartaric acid has a very strong retarding effect on cement mortar, with a dosage of 0.15% to 0.5%, Usage below 0.1% may have an accelerating effect. Tartaric acid is a stable high-temperature retarder that can improve the fluidity of cement grout without significantly affecting the later strength of the cement. When tartaric acid is used in combination with boric acid as a retarder, it not only provides a good retarding effect but also improves the structure of the hardened grout, thereby enhancing the mechanical strength of the hardened grout.

Tartaric acid, colorless crystal or white crystalline powder, odorless, sour taste, relatively stable in the air. Tartaric acid is an important retarding agent in building materials gypsum, it can also be used as cement retarding agent, especially used as self-leveling mortar retarding agent.

This product is not easy to fail, but it is a hydrophilic product, if the storage environment is poor, it will slowly inhale water, it is recommended to follow the principle of first in first out when using. If the product is not used up, the packaging must be tightly sealed to prevent moisture intrusion.
